Well-maintained and never chartered. This 1996 yacht boasts a strong, sturdy build with hand-laid GRP and a custom Seldén rig installed by Bavaria, featuring a bulb keel for enhanced stability. The bonus of this yacht is that it is equipped with a brand new D2-60 engine, added in 2018, along with new Flexiteek decking (excluding coachroof). All seacocks were replaced in 2022. The yacht offers 3 berths, including a spacious owner's cabin with two wardrobes. Note that this version of yacht when compared to other similar-aged Bavaria 44 yachts, features a more comfortable cockpit layout, with the mainsheet running on the coachroof instead of across the cockpit. Additionally, it is fitted with a bow thruster for easier maneuvering.
It is good to point out that older Bavaria yachts, particularly those built before 2000 like this one, are renowned for their robust construction, featuring thick fiberglass hulls and heavier displacement. These yachts were designed with durability and strength in mind, making them ideal for long-distance, offshore cruising.

The spacious cockpit features a cockpit table and seating on both sides. The helm station is equipped with electronic displays, and the deck and cockpit are finished with teak for a luxurious feel.
Construction
Built with hand-layered GRP, the hull features a 20 mm thick PVC hard foam core above the waterline. The laminates are made of glass mat and bidirectional roving fabric, with laminate thicknesses exceeding Germanischer Lloyd (GL) standards. Below the waterline, fully powdered glass mats, isophthalic resin, and isophthalic gelcoat provide robust protection against osmosis. The waterline and bootstripes are integrated using colored gelcoat (RAL 5010). The load-bearing structures are continuously laminated to the hull, with extra reinforcement in the keel area for added durability.
Keel
The keel is a combination of cast iron (upper section) and lead (lower section), designed with a low center of gravity for stability. The keel flange is reinforced with double laminate compared to GL requirements and features an impact edge, enhancing safety at critical impact speeds by threefold.
Deck
The deck is constructed similarly to the hull, using the hand-laying process. All main bulkheads are laminated directly to the deck. The deck-to-hull joint is mechanically fastened, with an aluminum bar bolted through both. The deck is covered with solid teak planks, adhered using a special vacuum bonding process. All other wooden parts on deck are made of teak, sourced exclusively from sustainable forest plantations.
